Many people are feeling the pain from the current economic stress.  It’s easy to look to fast food for a cheaper, quicker meal.  It can be a hard to pick healthier choices when eating out. Keep these things mind when you go to a fast-food restaurant:

  • Choose smaller portions.  No need to supersize.

  • Try to find a healthier side dish other than fries.  A salad, fruit bowl, baked potato or yogurt work well.
  • If you are planning on eating your meal at home, skip the side. Make a healthy choice from your cupboard. This will also help you save money.

  • Avoid regular soda; choose diet soda or water to help cut calories.

  • Skip the cheese and mayonnaise or special sauce.  Choose mustard or salsa instead.
